Similar to the BigStep, the Nexus Pro is manufactured 0.2mm larger than the industry standard.
Thanks to the extremely precise manufacturing, 99.5% of the portafilter surface is covered. The increased area reduces channeling and improves extraction uniformity.
Conical side surfaces reduce the “vacuum effect” that is common with larger tampers.

High-quality 431 stainless steel allows the production of a razor-sharp edge that wants to be treated like a high-quality knife. Under no circumstances should it be hit against hard surfaces or dropped.

Due to the increased surface area and very precise manufacturing, the Nexus Pro is only suitable for use with precision screens such as the Pullman Filtration876 baskets.

Pullman Nexus Grip I Acetal Black

Acetal is an elastic, impact-resistant and break-resistant material. Due to its outstanding material properties, it is used as a knock insert in our powder-coated barista handles. A full acetal handle makes it particularly suitable for baristas who knock the portafilter with the side of the handle rather than the top.

The surface has been hand bead blasted to create a semi-soft tactile feel with a visually similar effect to the rubber in the base.
Acetal is warm to the touch and lighter than aluminum. It offers the tactile benefits of hardwood (warm to the touch) combined with the strength and durability of aluminum.

These properties make it the ideal tool for tough everyday coffee bar life. The handle can be easily cleaned with water.
