Titanium nitride is a ceramic compound made of titanium and nitrogen, which is ideal for materials subject to high loads due to its outstanding material properties.

The BigStep is the non-plus-ultra among tampers and it is not for nothing that it has won countless titles in barista and latte art championships. With a diameter of 58.55 mm and extremely low tolerances of +/- 0.02 mm, the Big-Step fits exactly into the precision sieves specially made for the Pullman system and thus avoids any channeling from the outset.

The result is an extremely even puck that is optimally compressed even at the edges of the screen. Extremely high-quality 440C stainless steel for freedom from wear and the best material properties.
Patented 'Step' ensures that despite the extreme fit of the tamper base to the sieve, no vacuum is created when lifting after tamping.

The BigStep Base MK III comes with a golden 5mm spacer. For more individual adjustments, we have spacers in different widths, colors and materials in the accessories category.

Danger:
Pullman cannot control the wide range of different inside diameters across many brands and weight ratings of precision screens.
Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the BigStep is compatible with screens from third-party manufacturers.
We therefore strongly recommend purchasing Pullman Filtration Baskets. These are perfectly adapted to the BigStep base and checked by hand.

Pullman barista handle - powder coated - Ironstone

Powder coatings are paints that are applied to metal and other conductive surfaces. They produce less waste than liquid coatings and are free of organic solvents. The material to be coated - here the aluminum handle - is negatively charged by electrical voltage. The positively charged powder adheres to the resulting electric field and is baked in the curing oven.

The handles are easy to clean, available in all colors imaginable and wonderful to customize. Slightly more sensitive to impact and scratch damage than anodized handles.
