With the BigStep Lite it has been possible to reduce the weight of the BigStep again while maintaining the same performance. At 136.5 g, the Lite is only 10 grams heavier than the Titanium, but is significantly cheaper. At the same time, the height of the tamper has been reduced to an incredible 9mm - which enables more comfortable tamping with higher dosages. All features that make up the 'normal BigStep' are of course retained:

The BigStep is the non-plus-ultra among tampers and it is not for nothing that it has won countless titles in barista and latte art championships.

Diameter of 58.55 mm, super low tolerances of +/- 0.02 mm and therefore an exact fit for the precision sieves specially made for the Pullman system.
The result is an extremely even puck that is optimally compressed even at the edges of the screen and eliminates channeling from the outset.
Extremely high-quality 440C stainless steel for freedom from wear and the best material properties.
Patented 'Step' ensures that despite the extreme fit of the tamper base to the sieve, no vacuum is created when lifting after tamping.

Pullman cannot control the wide range of different inside diameters across many brands and weight ratings of precision screens.
Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the BigStep is compatible with screens from third-party manufacturers.
We therefore strongly recommend purchasing Pullman Filtration Baskets. These are perfectly adapted to the BigStep base and checked by hand.

Powder coatings are paints that are applied to metal and other conductive surfaces. They produce less waste than liquid coatings and are free of organic solvents.
The material to be coated - here the aluminum handle - is negatively charged by electrical voltage. The positively charged powder adheres to the resulting electric field and is baked in the curing oven.

The handles are easy to clean, come in every color imaginable and are wonderful to personalize.

Slightly more sensitive to impact and scratch damage than anodized handles.

The handles are available with (BLACK TOP) or without (SOLID) black knock insert . The knock insert is made of durable acetal and is not only functional, it also looks good.
A must have for baristas who 'knock' the portafilter for the initial distribution of the ground coffee.

Spacer - Spacer for individually adjusting Barista and BigStep tampers to the anatomy of the hand.
