Even more precisely manufactured than the other Pullman products, even better materials, even better performance. The BigStep is the non-plus-ultra among tampers and it is not for nothing that it has won countless titles in barista and latte art championships.

BigStep Base

With a diameter of 58.55 mm and extremely low tolerances of +/- 0.02 mm, the Big-Step fits exactly into the precision sieves specially made for the Pullman system and thus avoids any channeling from the outset. The result is an extremely even puck that is optimally compressed even at the edges of the screen.

Extremely high-quality 440C stainless steel for freedom from wear and the best material properties.

Patented 'Step' ensures that, despite the extreme fit of the tamper base to the sieve, no vacuum is created when lifting after tamping.

Danger:
Pullman cannot control the wide range of different inside diameters across many brands and weight ratings of precision screens.
Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the BigStep is compatible with screens from third-party manufacturers.
We therefore strongly recommend purchasing Pullman Filtration Baskets. These are perfectly adapted to the BigStep base and checked by hand.

Pullman Barista Handle - African Padouk

African Padauk (Pterocarpus soyauxii) is also called coralwood because of its red color.
Native to West Africa, the deciduous tree reaches an impressive height of 25-35m with a trunk diameter of 1m.

The wood is hard, dense and is often used in high-quality furniture construction.
The durability and the beautiful, blood-red color that darkens to purple-brown over time make the Padouk a perfect grip for the barista and big step.

Clean carefully with a soft, damp cloth.

The hardwood handles are very popular and provide a great contrast to stainless steel machines and work surfaces.
