A great Caturra from the Tolima department. The municipality of Planadas lies at the foot of the snow-capped Nevado del Huila, the highest volcano in Colombia. The fields where our coffee grows are located at around 1600m and are completely organic certified. After harvesting, the cherries are pulped, fermented for 18 to 24 hours, washed and dried for approximately two weeks. Finally, the beans are machine-dried for a relatively short time to ensure a particularly homogeneous residual moisture. The Caturra is a further development of the classic Bourbon and, due to the special geographical location and temperature conditions, has a balanced, low-acid character, whose aromas of walnut, cocoa and plum are particularly effective in all filter variants (Moccamaster, Kalita, Chemex, V60). come. As an espresso (filter carrier), the initial taste is quite slightly fruity and the balanced sweetness takes over as it stays in the mouth, making the coffee complex overall and a great espresso/cappuccino. Due to this complexity, the Planadas also cuts a fine figure in the fully automatic machine and in the Bialetti.
